Welcome
Our Origins
Journey Through Ministries originated in January of 2005, consisting of four people. Rick and Cindy Beyer, and Jim and Diane Shore were brought together to produce a CD that was to be used as a tool to aid the brokenhearted. The songs on this first CD, "How Do I Begin To Tell You...," are meant to guide the listener through the step-by-step journey that leads to discovering God's healing power.
The songs that are being shared have come at a great cost. Jim and Diane Shore have three sons. Their youngest son, 16-year-old Philip, went home in November of 2001. He had battled Leukemia for 5 1/2 years, and when he left this earth for his eternal home, Jim and Diane experienced their own brokenness. With a complete change in their view of eternity, their lifestyle also changed. After some time had passed, they moved into an RV and traveled the country, focusing their attention on what God wanted for the rest of their days on this earth. With their focus now on the eternal, Diane shared this experience through her writings (TrueHopeTravelers.com) while Jim worked a job that allowed them to move from state to state. They eventually ended up in Colorado, until the day came when God told them to "Leave." He was bringing them to the Los Angeles area where Diane's brother, Rick, and his wife Cindy and their three children lived.
For about a year, Rick and Diane had been in contact via e-mail and cellphone, writing the music that God was putting on their hearts. The words would come to Diane, she would e-mail them to Rick, he would compose the music on his piano and then share the finished product with Diane over their cellphones. This continued on for many months until the day came when it was time to "Leave" Colorado.
Upon arriving in Chino, California, Rick and Diane continued refining these songs, while plans were being made to record this CD. Rick had been sharing this song-writing process with his friend and Worship Leader at church, Pastor Scott Brewer. Scott, being experienced in the music industry, became invaluable in seeing this project through to completion. Not only was Scott a musician, he was also very knowledgeable about the recording process. Scott led them to Jeffery David and N' Touch Music.
As this group of four would gather together to discuss what God would have them do, it became very obvious that God's hand was upon each step of this, gathering those together with the needed gifts to see that this vision would be accomplished.
